Nichols Nursery is a family-run business, with 200 culitvars of Japanese Maples, that has been committed to specializing in Japanese Maples since 1974. Norman Nichols, founder and green thumb extraordinaire, has become known as one of the leading experts in grafting and growing Japanese Maples in Western North Carolina. Norman's two sons, Matthew and Timothy, have grown up working in the maples and are becoming masters in the art as well. Nichols Nursery can be found at local tailgate markets and garden shows in the Carolinas.
